This is a poem dedicated to the victims and survivors of the Boston Marathon and Texas plant explosion. Poetry is the soul’s soul.
A Light in the Chasm
I saw a flicker of light
In the darkness, so bright
I could touch it, but it faded
Away, too soon, but I know
It’s there, waiting for me,
Down deep, far from hope,
But it’ll guide me back, guide me
Back to you, this light, it just
Flickered, then it was gone, but I
Know it’s there, for me, this
Light, so bright, it flickered,
Then it glowed.
